MISSISSAUGA, ON, October 6, 2026 – Ricoh Canada Inc. today announced it has achieved the 2026 ENERGY STAR Canada Manufacturer of the Year – Electronics Award presented by Environment and Climate Change Canada. Honored for the sixth time since 2019, the award exemplifies Ricoh’s dedication to sustainable manufacturing of energy-efficient products, while reflecting a formal commitment Ricoh made 50 years ago to conducting business in a manner that supports the preservation of the environment and the sustainability of the planet.
ENERGY STAR specific steps in recognition
As Manufacturer of the Year for Electronics, Ricoh Canada was recognized based on key activities in 2025 that exhibited leadership and innovation in developing and promoting ENERGY STAR certified products while raising awareness of ENERGY STAR across Canada. This included:
Conducted Earth Day and ENERGY STAR promotional campaigns, delivering strong, measurable engagement and extending ENERGY STAR visibility across Canadian stakeholder audiences.
Expanded portfolio of ENERGY STAR certified imaging devices through the introduction of several new models, such as the RICOH SD Series, that meet or exceed ENERGY STAR technical specifications.
Supported increased market penetration of ENERGY STAR certified products through integrated marketing campaigns, dealer training and customer education initiatives that emphasized certified performance and energy reduction benefits.
Integrated ENERGY STAR branding and messaging prominently into Ricoh Canada’s redesigned sustainability webpages, aligning certified products with the company’s environmental leadership objectives.
Supported ENERGY STAR objectives through strategic stakeholder partnerships, including renewable energy sourcing initiatives and collaboration with customers whose procurement requirements prioritize ENERGY STAR certification.
“This honor represents a significant source of pride for Ricoh Canada, as it reflects a commitment to environmental sustainability that has been part of Ricoh’s DNA for 50 years,” said Meagan Moody, Country Manager, Ricoh Canada Inc. “We are grateful to Environment and Climate Change Canada and the ENERGY STAR program for this recognition, which affirms our ongoing efforts to develop energy-efficient technologies, support our customers' sustainability objectives, and contribute to a healthier planet for future generations.”

Ricoh’s commitment to environmental sustainability is rooted in the company’s Founding Principles – The Spirit of Three Loves – established in 1946 by its founder, Kiyoshi Ichimura, and made an official focus of its business when it established an Environmental Promotion Section in 1976.
