Accessibility

Maximize productivity with our user-friendly products

What good are your products and services if not everyone can use them? When you design a product's features and functions with accessibility and usability in mind, everybody benefits. That's why our product design process includes evaluations and development cycles that align with Accessibility standards.

Engage independent experts

At Ricoh, we strive to meet the highest levels of Accessibility standards. To help us get there, we use the expertise of the Georgia Tech Research Institute, whose assessment methodology helps manufacturers and buyers determine the accessibility of electronic and information technology products.

With this methodology, we can quickly identify design changes that would make our electronic devices easier for people with physical or cognitive disabilities to use.

Have a clear mission and philosophy

Our commitment to manufacturing user-friendly products starts with incorporating accessibility into a product's core requirements whenever possible. We guide our efforts according to the following objectives:

  • Configure features to enhance — not restrict — overall functionality.

  • Conduct user testing, evaluations, and product improvement cycles to ensure that the technology accommodates the majority of single-impairment conditions.

  • Ensure compatibility with commonly used personal assistive devices and technologies.
