High tech commercial print company partners
with Ricoh Canada Inc. for substantial business gains.
Vancouver, – Bond Reproductions, leaders in commercial print
services in Burnaby and Vancouver, is going ‘digital’ – and
that means increased throughput, higher volume capacities, less
down time, and satisfied customers.
Bond Reproductions outputs between 2.5 and 3.5 million pages per
month. However, smart planning predicted that those numbers were
forecasted to increase. Recognizing the need to remain competitive
and to meet the increasing needs of its customers, Bond required
a solution that would provide document flexibility, platform expandability
and would reduce the manual element inherent in its processes.
They were also tied to a contract from another provider that made
equipment upgrades cost prohibitive. Bond wanted to increase its
print capacity, realize a fast ROI, and employ equipment that would
accommodate a growing, networked enterprise. They found their answer
at Ricoh Canada Inc.
Ricoh is a leading global provider of document and imaging solutions – a
name known for its superior quality products, customer focused
sales approach and outstanding service. Ricoh provided Bond with
2 Micropress Systems and 5 Aficio – 1050 Digital Units (2
located in Vancouver, 3 located in Burnaby). They now have catapulted
their output from 135 PPM (pages per minute) to 525 PPM and have
multiplied their paper capacities exponentially. “Ricoh’s
solution experts helped us re-purpose our business focus. Today,
Bond is a thriving, digital print operation – making significant
inroads in the digital marketplace. That makes good business sense
for us and it’s a huge benefit to our customers,” explains
Bond Reproductions owner, Jim Hodge.
The Ricoh partnership means that Bond can now scan documents that
previously would have been manually fed through other copiers and
reproduce them digitally from the glass or through the Micropress.
They can also allocate their jobs from the Micropress and have
multiple digital documents printing simultaneously. And, not only
can they facilitate the printing of multiple jobs, but additionally,
they can extensively manipulate documents in order to ensure high
levels of output quality via the Micropress. “Ricoh Canada
is very pleased with the outcome of this partnership. Bond Reproductions
has one of the most reliable, efficient and productive digital
platforms of any printer in the Vancouver marketplace – allowing
them to outperform the expectations of the most discriminating
digital print customers,” says Ricoh Branch Manager (Vancouver),
David Fischer.
