Machine, Toner Bottle and Cartridge Recycling

Ricoh Equipment Recycling Program

In our ongoing efforts to redirect waste from landfill, Ricoh Canada runs a recycling program for all Ricoh equipment sold in Canada. Through this recycling program, your machine will have the non-recyclable parts removed, and the remaining recyclable elements reduced to pieces, (approximately the size of a nickel) before being separated into various metals and plastics to be used for new products. 98.4% of Ricoh machines are recovered in the recycle process.

The cost to recycle machines is borne entirely by Ricoh Canada, and we ask our customers to accept only the responsibility of returning equipment to our Warehouse and Distribution Centre in Mississauga.

For more details on how to have your Ricoh machine recycled, please contact your local Ricoh Branch or Dealer.

Toner Bottle & Cartridge Recycling

Ricoh Canada’s commitment to Environmental Sustainability also extends to recycling used Ricoh toner bottles and cartridges.

We encourage our customers to recycle their empty toner bottles and cartridges by providing a range of options to assist you in returning your empty consumables – free of charge. These options are:

  • If the municipality in which your company is located accepts up to ‘Enviro label 5’ items, simply return your used Ricoh consumables by placing them in the blue boxes within your workplace.

  • Place the empty Toner Bottles or cartridges in the box that the full replacement toner bottles or cartridges came in. Wait until the box is full to send it - please don't send partially empty boxes. Then simply download the postage paid label and affix it to the box of empty toner consumables. Hand the box to your Canada Post carrier or drop it off at the Post Office with your regular mail. To download this label, click here.

  • Call the Ricoh Dispatch department who will send you a return label. Dependant on how many used bottle or cartridges you need to return, they will also send you either single or multiple boxes to affix your return label and used consumables. To contact the Ricoh Dispatch department click here.

  • If your company produces a higher than average volume of used Ricoh consumables, Ricoh can provide a Ricoh Toner Box. Once this box is filled, simply affix the return label provided and call Purolator to pick up your batch of used consumables.

  • If your company produces an extremely high volume of used consumables, Ricoh can provide your company with a Gaylord shipping container should space permit. Once this container is filled, all you have to do is affix the return label provided to the container and call Purolator for pick up.

All Toner bottle and cartridges that are returned to Ricoh are delivered to a recycler who will re-use them in its waste-to-energy processes. We thank you for participating in this environmentally friendly initiative.
