bullfrogpower

Ricoh Canada has signed on with Bullfrog Power, a leading provider of 100 per cent green electricity, to purchase green power for its Mississauga distribution centre. By sourcing clean, renewable wind and low-impact hydro power from Bullfrog, Ricoh will reduce its annual carbon dioxide emissions footprint by 323 tonnes annually. Carbon dioxide is the primary greenhouse gas attributed to climate change. Ricoh’s partnership with Bullfrog Power also enables the generation of new renewable power sources in Ontario.

Energy conservation ultimately results in a diminished need for fossil fuel- or nuclear-generated power, and consequent reduction in damage to the atmosphere.

Effort Well Spent
Ricoh strives to conserve energy in the manufacturing, distribution and use of its products. The benefits are both economic and environmental. The environment benefits because lowering energy consumption reduces the need for fossil fuel or nuclear generated power, both of which impact the atmosphere. The economic benefits come from reduced energy costs that enable us to price our products more competitively.

Products
The Ricoh Group has created breakthroughs in energy-saving technology that have made its latest digital imaging system (Aficio 1035) the winner of the International Energy Agency's coveted "Copier of the Future" award.

Business Sites
Ricoh Group facilities throughout the Americas, Europe and Japan are designed to achieve the highest levels of productivity using the minimum amount of energy, thus reducing CO2 emissions.
