Ricoh's name has been used without authority as part of what would appear to be a scam.
The nature of the scam involves emails sent from a person claiming to represent Ricoh advertising the position of 'Representative and Payment Officer'. These emails claim to offer commission in return for clearing funds through your account.
If you received such emails, please forward them to the relevant ISP (see below) and also to Ricoh at www-admin@ricoh.co.jp.
- Forward it to abuse@yahoo.com if the sender's address uses yahoo.com domain.
- Forward it to abuse@msn.com if the sender's address uses msn.com domain.
In order for the ISP to fully investigate the matter, please forward the scam you received with the full headers attached. They specifically need the IP address and timestamp of the email from which the message originated.
