  • Ricoh Manufacturing Sites in Japan Affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Status Update

    As of March 16, Wednesday,15:00 pm (Japan Time):

    The following is a damage and operations status update of Ricoh manufacturing locations in Tohoku, Kanto and Shizuoka Prefecture.

    Due to the severe damage as a result of the earthquake, the facilities in the Tohoku regions; Tohoku Ricoh, Hazama Ricoh, and Ricoh Optical Industries, will take time to return to full operation. The length of these shut-downs is yet-to-be determined.

    Due to severe damage to equipment, infrastructure and inability to reestablish lifelines for employees in the affected areas, production activities are greatly compromised. Outside of the most affected area, interrupted traffic and rolling blackouts have affected production flow. The Ricoh Group will play its part in conserving energy while balancing the needs of business. All Ricoh members are committed to a quick recovery.
